About Us
ELECTRODE PASTE & GRAPHITE ELECTRODES — ENGINEERED FOR YOUR FURNACE.
Founded in 2002 in Jincheng, China, Jiyang Carbon has operated for over two decades. Our technical team is led by a founder with more than 40 years of hands-on experience in carbon processing. Recognized as a National High-Tech Enterprise of China, we supply Søderberg electrode paste and 50–200mm graphite electrodes to ferroalloy, calcium carbide, and electric arc furnace operators in over 20 countries. Every order passes through five disciplines we control directly: raw material selection, formula development, kneading stability, forming consistency, and batch-by-batch testing.
Of these five disciplines, kneading and forming are where electrode performance is won or lost — they determine your electrode’s density, resistivity, and consumption rate inside the furnace. Every batch is tested in our own ISO 9001-certified laboratory against seven parameters before it leaves the plant. Whether you’re commissioning a new furnace or optimizing an existing line, our technical team responds with data, not marketing copy.
Our Specialty: 50–200mm Graphite Electrodes — Built for Mid-Size Smelters.
A Founder's Legacy in Every Electrode
Four decades of furnace know-how — applied to every batch we ship.
Our Technical Director started in carbon processing in the early 1980s and has spent the last 40+ years refining the formulas, kneading protocols, and forming tolerances that define Jiyang Carbon today. He still reviews production data weekly and signs off on every customized formulation. Supporting him is a multilingual technical team trained to one rule: respond to your inquiry within four business hours, and connect you directly with engineering — not a script.

Our Core Products
Three product lines, each engineered for a specific smelting environment. From Søderberg electrode paste for ferroalloy and calcium carbide producers to 50–200mm graphite electrodes for mid-size EAF and ladle furnaces — every grade we ship is backed by batch-level test data and traceable from raw material to bagged finished goods.
Electrode Paste
Søderberg Self-Baking Paste for Ferroalloy & Calcium Carbide Furnaces
A consumable engineered for submerged arc furnaces producing ferrosilicon, silicomanganese, ferrochrome, calcium carbide, and silicon metal. Available in pebble and trapezoidal forms — customized formulations are supported on request, with softening point, ash content, and binder ratio calibrated to your furnace’s current density and feed rate.
✦ Standard Grade · Ash Content: 2.8%–5.0%
✦ Premium Grade · Ash Content: can reach 2.8%
✦ Compressive Strength: >18 MPa
✦ Resistivity: ≤65 μΩ·m
Graphite Electrodes (50-200mm)
Our Specialty: Built for ignition rods, small furnaces, and lab-scale operations
Regular Power (RP) and High Power (HP) graphite electrodes, specialized in small-to-mid diameters for submerged arc furnace ignition rods, small EAF/LF, foundry furnaces, and pilot-scale operations.
✦ Diameter: 50 mm – 200 mm
✦ Length: 1000 mm – 2400 mm
✦ Typical resistivity: ≤8 μΩ·m (RP)

Graphite Electrodes (200-600mm)
Extended Range: RP & HP Grade for Larger EAF and Ladle Furnace Operations
The same Jiyang quality control system, extended to larger-diameter requirements through our integrated production network. Each batch is finished and tested to the same RP and HP standards as our in-house 50–200mm line, with raw material origin, machining records, and final dimensional checks documented per order.
✦ Diameter: 200 mm – 600 mm
✦ Length: 1500 mm – 2700 mm
✦ Typical resistivity: ≤6.5 μΩ·m (RP)
✦ Bulk density: ≥1.62 g/cm³

Why Us
Why Global Smelters Choose Jiyang Carbon
From raw material lot to bagged shipment, every step carries a documented test record.
Lot-Tested High-Purity Raw Materials
Electrically calcined anthracite, petroleum coke, and graphite scrap are sourced from qualified suppliers and lot-tested in our own laboratory before entering production. Every raw material batch carries documented origin records and test results
Kneading & Forming Controlled In-House
We own the two stages that determine your electrode's density, resistivity, and consumption rate — kneading and forming. Neither is outsourced. Both are run by operators who have refined the process under our Technical Director for over a decade.
Every Batch Tested on Seven Parameters
Every batch is tested in our ISO 9001-certified laboratory against seven parameters before shipment — ash, fixed carbon, volatile matter, sulphur, moisture, softening point, and resistivity. Each report carries a batch number you can reference at any time.
ISO 9001 Certified + 15+ Invention Patents
A National High-Tech Enterprise of China, recognized for over 15 invention patents in carbon processing technology. Our quality management system is certified to ISO 9001 and audited annually — the same standard your large-supplier alternatives are held to.
Direct Access to Our Engineering Bench
Every inquiry receives a first response within 4 business hours — and technical questions escalate directly to our engineering team. Pre-baking guidance, electrode start-up consultation, and consumption-rate optimization come with every order.
Export-Tested Logistics to 20+ Countries
Departures from Tianjin and Qingdao Ports. Our jumbo bag packaging is calibrated for the routes that actually carry your shipment — monsoon-season transit to South Asia, summer transit to the Middle East, and long-haul container voyages to South America and the CIS.
Our Core Values
Three principles that govern every decision — from raw material selection to after-sales engineering.
Mastery
Forty years of carbon processing experience condensed into the formula behind every batch. Our Technical Director reviews production data weekly and personally approves customized formulations — mastery is not what we claim in marketing, it is the standard set on the production floor every day.
Discipline
Kneading and forming — the two stages that decide whether your electrode performs in the furnace — stay entirely in-house. Every input is documented, every batch is tested against seven parameters, every order is traceable to its raw material lot. Consistency comes from discipline, not luck.
Honesty
We tell you exactly what we make in-house and what we coordinate with qualified partners. Batch-level test reports are shared in full — not just the parameters that flatter us. We do not overpromise lead times. In B2B carbon, trust is built one shipment at a time.

Frequently Asked Questions
What are the direct benefits of low ash content for your furnace?
Our extreme-control formulation can reach 2.8% ash — meaning fewer impurities in your molten pool, higher alloy purity, and lower electrode consumption per ton.
How do you ensure consistency in every batch?
Every batch is tested in our ISO 9001-certified laboratory against seven parameters —
ash, fixed carbon, volatile matter, sulphur, moisture, softening point, and resistivity.
Each test report carries a batch number you can reference at any time.
What's the typical lead time from order to shipment?
Standard products ship within 15-30 business days after advance payment. Customized formulations and large-volume orders are confirmed in writing with a specific schedule at order acceptance.
READY TO SPECIFY YOUR NEXT ELECTRODE ORDER?
Share your furnace type, electrode grade, and annual consumption. Our engineering team responds within 4 business hours with a quote, datasheet, and shipping breakdown.
